Opera 10 Beta Launched 6 months after the 1st Alpha and yesterdays leak, Opera Software has officially launched the very first Opera 10 Beta release.

Besides already reported features, such as: new skin, visual tabs, opera turbo, crashlogging tool, speed dial configuration and resizable search field, Opera 10 Beta also brings faster browsing experience (40% performance increase), “Web integration” and more.

Internet Explorer 8 Wave 2 Released

Internet Explorer 8 Wave 2 Released The 3rd and final wave of Internet Explorer 8 has been just released. As a result, IE8 is now available in a total of 63 languages.

New languages, as per wave 2:

Albanian, Assamese, Basque, Bengali (Bangladesh), Bengali (India), Gujarati, Indonesian, Kannada, Kazakh, Konkani, Kyrgyz, Latvian, Malay (Brunei Darussalam), Malay (Malaysia), Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi (India), Tamil, Telugu, Uzbek (Latin)

Opera Retakes Leadership from iPhone in Mobile Browser Market StatCounter writes:

Opera is the world’s number one mobile browser, overtaking iPhone in May according to data from StatCounter Global Stats. In May Opera took 24.6% of the worldwide market compared to 22.3% for iPhone. Nokia retains third place with 17.9%. However, if one includes iPod Touch then Apple browsers still lead with iPod Touch alone taking 14.9% of the market in May.

Bing HiJacks IE6 Users Toolbar (Updated)

Bing HiJacks IE6 Toolbar Search Engine Journal informs about the IE6 users anomalies since the launch of Microsoft’s new search engine: Bing.

Few of them already reported weird issue: even though their default search provider was set to Google, after the launch of Bing, it hijacked the search feature in the toolbar and became new default search engine.

To make things worse, it’s not possible to change it back to Google.
