IE 8 Incompatibility List: 2 400 Major Sites (and Counting)
In an effort to improve Web users’ compatibility experience, Microsoft added a new, user-selectable Compatibility List to the Release Candidate test version of IE 8 that the company released in January.

This sucks big time. MS first says they are going to clean up the web mess they created – that’s a good thing. Then they have a IE7 compatibility mode accessible through 1 easy button – this is a necessary thing for people to download IE8 at all. But then they have to go fuck it up by telling web developers all over the world that “nah, you don’t need to change a thing”. Everyone will continue to code with broken web standards because they know that their site will end up on that list 10 minutes after launch.
