New York Public Library Promotes Google Chrome
Suggests you to ditch the Internet Explorer.
Well, here is something to kick start your morning. According to one of the redditors, the New York Public Library suggests its uses to ditch IE and use Google Chrome instead.

Disgusting. A public, state-funded institution suggesting proprietary software.
They should at least be recommending Chromium or Firefox.

Windows is proprietary software too, what difference would the browser make? At least they’re not enforcing IE usage, which is a good thing.

I would rather use IE than Chrome.
I prefer integrated IE before big (more than 100MB) and spy (GoogleUpdate) product buyed by Google with Apple core.
And Windows doesn’t phone home?

I assume that these Chrome instances won’t be signed in to anyones account, and even if a member of public does the history won’t be kept because as soon as the user logs off and a new user logs on it’s like a fresh account. That’s how my library does it.
Pretty sure a geek employee put that on the tables, just that.
