Dell Charges £16.25 For Firefox InstallationWhich makes it a rate of £100 an hour.

If you feel extra lazy today and can’t be bothered to install Firefox, then Dell’s installation service is here to rescue you. As it turns out, this is exactly what the tech giant is offering on newly purchased Dell kits.

Now, the story doesn’t end here, upon learning about such practices, Mozilla has started consulting with “legal teams” as this goes against their software distribution policy.

Dell on the other hand refused to comment on the story. So let’s grab some popcorn and watch this drama unfold.

i dont know if they think that the users are such big retards, or the retards are themselves

Of course the users are retards, but I don’t see how Dell can be accused of doing anything wrong. I charge 40$ for simply uninstalling unwanted crap from people’s laptops and desktops, so why wouldn’t Dell charge for installing something? It’s the service they’re charging for, not the product.
