September, 2014 Mobile Market Share: Google Chrome, Android Browser – Up; Safari, Opera Mini, Internet Explorer – Down

Another month, another report.

As always, we start with Apple’s Safari, which (after a small bump) continues its downtrend, this time its market share has decreased by 0.44 point, from 45.07% to 44.63%.

Next is Google Chrome, which has now surpassed the old school Android Browser, this time its market share is up from 19.66% to 21.48% (1.82 point increase).

Speaking of which, Android Browser is still not dying, last month its overall browser cap has increased by 0.09 point, from 20.61% to 20.70%.

As for Opera Mini, which was falling like a rock some months ago, its market share has decreased by 0.85 point, from 7.96% to 7.11%.

Lastly, Internet Explorer, down pretty significantly, from 2.70% 2.38% (0.32 point decrease).
