May, 2015 Mobile Market Share: Safari, Google Chrome, Opera Mini, Internet Explorer – Up, Android Browser – Down
It‘s the first day of the summer right here and what better way to start June than to publish fresh mobile market share data numbers.
Starting with Safari, Apple’s web browser has seen a small bump in its market share, up from 39.49% to 39.67% (0.18 point increase).
After celebrating the crossing of the 30% mark, Google Chrome continues to march forward with another increase, this time by 0.88 point, from 30.06% to 30.94%.
Android Browser on the other hand has seen a pretty major drop, down by 3.33 points, 18.30% to 14.97%.
After a pretty unhealthy downtrend, Opera Mini has broken through it and is up by 2.27 points, from 6.26% to 8.53%.
Lastly, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, which will soon be replaced with a proper web browser, up from 2.05% to 2.41% (0.36 point increase).
That’s all for now, folks.
