Firefox Good evening everyone, we have another nightly release from Firefox team, it’s Firefox 3 Pre-Alpha 8 of 10 Sep 2007. Changelog:

  • [Firefox:Places]-Provide backup and restore functionality for Places bookmarks [All]
  • [Firefox:General]-[regression] No Protocol Handling Dialog Appears with Unknown Protocols [All]
  • [Firefox:Location Bar and Autocomplete]- if the user chooses a result from autocomplete results, or types it manually, have that weigh heavily in ranking ac results [All]
  • [Firefox:Location Bar and Autocomplete]-when searching previous autocomplete results, if we find any, tell the front end immediately, instead of waiting for our first db query to return [All]

  • [Core:XPCOM]-Folder does not open anymore for dragged link [All]

  • [Firefox:General]-Breakpad doesn’t work [Win]
  • [Firefox:Places]-bookmarks menu dnd indicator not visible if I want to drop an item before a separator [Win]
  • [Other Applications:Reporter]- Reporter should move away from SOAP (Reporter fails to send reports on trunk) [All]
  • [Firefox:Location Bar and Autocomplete]- Location bar autocomplete hangs after first character is typed; regardless of speed of character input [Win]
  • [Firefox:Download Manager]-The download always goes to browser.download.lastDir when browser.download.useDownloadDir is false [Win]
  • [Firefox:Download Manager]- browser. download. lastDir is ignored when right-clicking and “Save Link As …” when browser. download. useDownloadDir is true. [Win]
  • [Firefox:General]-Crashes with Adblock Plus (even if disabled) [All]
