Firefox, Opera, Safari: Grammar, Style, and Spell Checker

Now here is something useful for Firefox, Opera and Safari users. Unlike regular inline spell check, this tool will also seek for grammar and style mistakes.

How to Install?
Add Proofreader <– drag this link to your browser’s link bar, or right-click and add as a bookmark.

How to Use

  • Click the “Add Proofreader” link on your link bar to add a Proofread button above each text box.
  • Click Check Spelling and Grammar to find spelling mistakes, misused words, and grammar errors
  • Click Edit text to continue editing.

    “I’d hate to loose the write” is not recognized as error in Opera 10.1

    I installed the button to Opera Main bar. It does not work.

    Safari already checks for grammar. I don’t know about styles though. Just saying.

    OS X has built-in checking spelling and grammar for text controls in all applications.

      Oh didn’t know that. I just knew Safari does on windows. Figured it did on OS X.I don’t use Safari on windows though anymore doesn’t work as good as it could.
