Cello – First Windows Web Browser
Although many users remember Mosaic web browser, only quite a few have ever heard of Cello, which was in fact, the very first Windows web browser.
How so? Well, as it was non graphical web browser, Cello made a very little impact, compared to Mosaic. Furthermore, version 2.0 was ceased before a public release.
Despite that, browser had a lot of awesome features, such as: GIF, XBM, PCX, and BMP support, file saving and printing, bookmarks and even mailto: attribute support.
Initial release: June 8, 1993
Discontinued: 1.01a / April 16, 1994
Download Cello 1.01a (16-bit).
Thanks to mabdul for the tip.
