Windows Phone 7 to Feature Upgradeable Internet Explorer

Windows Phone 7 to Feature Upgradable Internet ExplorerWith many mobile web browser choices floating around, Internet Explorer is certainly not one of them.

Furthermore, it is being upgraded only within new Windows Mobile release (and that does not happen very often).

However, things are about to change. One of the IE Mobile team members has revealed that Internet Explorer will receive updates independently of Windows Phone 7 itself.

Q:Will the browser in Windows 7 get more updates more frequently than only with full firmware updates?

A: Hi Tom

Yes, we are building in the ability to update the browser independently of firmware.

What else is planned for Mobile IE?

According to NetworkWorld: …four-point multitouch fully enabled, zooming in and out by a pinching finger gesture on the screen, so-called “deep zoom” for extreme, high fidelity closeups, a remarkably clear typography, and very smooth, fast operation.
