Today Opera Software has released their financial results for Q1 2011 which include the following:

1Q 2011 Financial highlights

Total revenue (MNOK): 207.3 (1Q11) vs. 151.4 (1Q10)
Profitability, earnings before interest and taxes (MNOK): 41.4 (1Q11) vs 5.4 (1Q10)

Record revenue and profitability
Strong revenue growth from operators and desktop
Continuing to see a shift in revenue mix towards license revenue
Revenue and EBIT would both have been 6 MNOK higher on guided FX rates for 1Q11

Revenue: Desktop (1Q11)

Desktop user growth 13% versus end of 1Q10 and 6% versus end of 4Q10
Stronger ARPU than expected due to higher search and content partnership revenue
Overall revenue growth: 36% versus 1Q10 and flat as expected versus 4Q10

As for Q2 2011 guidance, Opera Software expects Desktop and Mobile OEM revenue to be flat/down while Operators and Device OEM revenue should continue increasing.
