Web Browsers IQ Study Is A Hoax
IE users rejoice.
Earlier this week, we reported about the recent study which claims that IE users tend to have a lower IQ when compared to other web browser users. Turns out, it was a hoax all along.
According to BBC, the web site that published results was set up just weeks before official announcement and used staff images copied from Central Test, a French company specializing in research.
Although ApTiquant has already changed some of its staff member names, they did that few days too late.

I think the BBC are saying it MAY be a hoax.. It’s also possible that Microsoft PR department are calling in favours and getting their media buddies to play the hoax card.
Either way, the site may or may not be a hoax, but what’s it’s suggesting is legitimate, that stupid people don’t bother looking any further than the web browser than comes with their OS, despite far superior alternatives being available for free.
No need to pay money to a site to say it is a hoax ;).
Seems like some browser users can’t handle the truth :).
And all researches that claims that IE is the most secure browsers also is a hoax
ssshhh, Microsoft funded that report too (NSS Labs). When you are as big as Microsoft, you can arrange for anything story you want to be written to magically appear all across the Internet, just like any story they don’t like can be discredited…
Is anyone REALLY stupid enough to believe the story that some BBC Readers discovered this…….
If Microsoft thinks that users will believe such researches then maybe IE users really are dumber?

Makes you wonder how many studies you hear/read are also hoaxes, but are not revealed like this.
