Adobe Gives Flash Source Code To Microsoft, Bundles With IE10

Well, here is an interesting turn of events, more than 2 years ago, Google has announced that it will bundle the Adobe Flash Player with its Google Chrome web browser. Now, according to the recent leak, Microsoft will do the very same thing and bundle it with the upcoming Internet Explorer 10 release.

However, security shouldn’t be a huge concern, at least not anymore as Paul Thurrott, one of the Microsoft’s insideris, reported that Adobe has actually provided the software giant with the source code to access Flash, which allowed Microsoft to improve security, performance and reliability.

And that’s not all, Paul Thurrott and Rafael Rivera have revealed that the Metro version of Internet Explorer 10 will also support Adobe Flash, which is very different from what we heard from the Microsoft itself, as they ditched plugin support in favor of the HTML5. There is one difference though; users still won’t be able to install any plugins on the Metro version of the IE10 web browser and Flash will only run on the popular web sites that are authorized by Microsoft and still require legacy plugins support.
