Opera Software Q4 2009 Financial Results
Earlier this week, Opera Software has revealed their Q4 2009 financial results. Some of the highlights are:
Opera Mobile: 47 new models in 2009, shipments of 4.2 million.
Opera Mini: 172 new models in 2009
Opera Desktop: Users up 37% since 4Q08 (up 11% vs3Q09)
• Revenue up 20% (up 37% on constant currency basis)
• Successful launch of Opera 10 and 10.10

YouTube to Stop Supporting IE6 on March 13
Starting from March 13th, Internet Explorer 6 users will receive the following notification, when watching video:
Google also added: “Stopped support essentially means that some future features on YouTube will be rolled out that won’t work in older browsers.”

Pwn2Own: Internet Explorer 8, 7 vs. Firefox 3 vs. Chrome 4 vs. Safari 4
In the upcoming Pwn2Own contest, hackers will be trying to “pwn” Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Apple Safari web browsers. Competition will be active for three days, with a total cash prize pool of $40 000, where each target is worth $10 000.

Internet Explorer 9 Details to Emerge in March
In the upcoming MIX10 conference, which begins in March 15th, Microsoft will be revealing more Internet Explorer 9 details.
One of the MIX10 team members also noted: “As General Manager of the team, Dean Hachamovitch is responsible for the design, development, and release of Internet Explorer. We welcome Dean back to the stage as one of our MIX10 keynoters in Las Vegas next month. After all, what would our premier web conference be without a browser update!? Dean will talk about changes and improvements that have been made to Internet Explorer 9 since PDC09, and his talk is sure to include a couple of surprises.”
It is yet unknown, whether Microsoft will make release available to general public or not. Although that would certainly be a nice surprise.

RIM Introduces Webkit Browser
