Mobile OEMs:
Decline in revenue
• Total revenue down vs 3Q08 due to lower shipments and NRE
Device OEMs:
More than 75% of revenue from licenses

Opera 10.10 RC1 Released
Today, on Friday 13th, Opera Software has released RC build of Opera 10.10.
As far as new features go, Opera Unite is the only one, so far.

Firefox 3.6 Beta 2 Released
Yesterday, Mozilla Foundations has released one more beta of Firefox 3.6 web browser. Sometime later, “Beta 2 Revision 2” appeared as well.
Since the very first Beta, they managed to squash over 190 bugs, resulting various improvements for users, web and add-on developers. Also, this update includes a “mechanism” which prevents incompatible software from crashing Firefox.

Apple Releases Safari 4.0.4
Yesterday Apple has released Safari 4.0.4 web browser. Besides fixing 7 security vulnerabilities, the following version also offers performance and stability improvements. Therefore, it’s recommended to update your browser as soon as possible.
Changelog:
– Improved JavaScript performance
– Improved Full History Search performance for users with a large number of history items
– Stability improvements for 3rd-party plug-ins, the search field and Yahoo! Mail
– Security fixes

Google Chrome + Mouse Gestures = ChromePlus
Our reader Dainius has discovered a new tool/browser called “ChromePlus”. Basically, it’s a Google Chrome web browser with few additional features and without any Chrome background processes.
What additional features?

October, 2009 – Firefox, Safari and Chrome Market Share Goes Up; IE, Opera – Down
It’s that day of the month again, when we check and let you know, which web browser is becoming more and/or less popular. So let’s begin.
Not surprisingly, Internet Explorer lost more market share and went down from 65.71% to 64.64% (1.07 point decrease).
