Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) Preview and New Features
The upcoming Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) new features will be soon announced at MIX 08 (Microsoft Conference, held from March 5 – March 7, 2008). Although we can’t expect all the new features to be revealed, as Internet Explorer 8 is currently in alpha stage only, it will be interesting to see them anyway. If you are reading FavBrowser.com blog some time already, you have had a change to check a list of “Leaked Internet Explorer 8” features which didn’t impress me at all. New Opera 9.5 Build Receives An Advanced Tabs Activation Feature
Today’s Opera build introduced a well known feature, which can already be found on: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and probably few others, not so well known web browsers. Firefox 2.0.0.13, Sooner Than You Thought
Just a few days ago (with the Firefox 2.0.0.12 release), “Directory Traversal Vulnerability” was supposed to be fixed. However, as it’s noted here, by the guy who discovered new security vulnerability, it wasn’t fully fixed. Here’s a quote from his blog:
Because directory traversal through plugins is all nice and such, we don’t need it. We can trick Firefox itself in traversing directories back.
Firefox 2.0.0.12 Released
New Firefox build by Mozilla Firefox team is now released. Firefox 2.0.0.12 includes a total of 10 bug fixes (3 of them are marked as critical). The following release also fixes chrome directory traversal vulnerability. It’s highly recommended to download latest version as soon as possible.

Opera Mini, February Server Upgrade
Opera Mini team has released one more server upgrade for its popular mobile phone web browser. It’s good to see that Opera 9.5 rendering engine is being integrated (more or less) into other Opera’s products like Opera Mobile (announced yesterday) and now, Opera Mini.
