Firefox 3.0.1 Released
It’s been a month since Firefox 3 Final release. After few security glitches, today Mozilla released Firefox 3.0.1 which fixes 3 security advisories:
Crash with malformed GIF file on Mac OS X
Command-line URLs launch multiple tabs when Firefox not running
Remote code execution by overflowing CSS reference counter
If you haven’t received a notification about available update yet, you can update your browser by clicking “Check for Updates” in the “Help” menu or just download it here.
Firefox 2.0.0.16 Released
Although Firefox 3 is the latest stable release, Mozilla will continue releasing Firefox 2.x branch security updates until mid-December, 2008. This release fixes the following security issues:

Remote code execution by overflowing CSS reference counter

So there’s a guy who used to work on Microsoft Internet Explorer team. Although it’s not so easy to say that, he admits that Firefox 3 is better than IE7. After playing with Firefox 3, he says:

Browsers Memory Battle
There is an article in ComputerWorld.com called “Firefox 3.0 wins memory battle, says tester“. Sam Allen was testing Firefox, Internet Explorer (IE), Flock, Opera and Safari web browsers to see who wins in the memory management. “Test” is quite funny. There are no graphs at all and basically nothing… I guess this is what quality article is all about.
