Firefox 17 Beta To Include The Social API
Wants to make your life easier.
After a bumpy Firefox 16 Final release, Mozilla has decided to reveal one of the upcoming Firefox 17 features: the social API.
While the company was not keen on sharing exactly what they plan to do with the API, a blog post informed that it might function in a Flock like fashion or as they put it, “As services integrate with Firefox via the Social API sidebar, it will be easy for you to keep up with friends and family anywhere you go on the Web without having to open a new Web page or switch between tabs. You can stay connected to your favorite social network even while you are surfing the Web, watching a video or playing a game,”.

Now here is something for all the Firefox users out there. With the approaching release of the IE10, here comes the answer from Mozilla: a final version of Firefox 16.
Being just a small update, the following build includes a support for web apps, improved JavaScript responsiveness through incremental garbage collection and a couple of goodies for the developers, such as: a new developer toolbar and various new web standards support.

Internet Explorer 10 Is 8% Faster Than Google Chrome 20
According to the recent report by Strangeloop, a company that specializes in website performance, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer was 8% faster in loading the majority of web pages when compares to the Google’s Chrome.
As stated in the document, IE10 average load time was 6.392 seconds, beating Firefox (6.395 seconds) and Google Chrome 20 (6.906).
Interestingly enough, overall pages loading performance was 9% slower when compared to the previous year’s report, which is blamed on heavier and heavier web sites.

ZTE Launching Firefox OS Phone In 2013
If you’ve been anxiously waiting for the new phones running Mozilla’s Firefox OS, then listen carefully as we have some new details to share with you.
According to the recent report from WSJ, ZTE is planning to launch FOS smartphones in the first quarter of 2013.
Unfortunately, hardware specifications were not revealed but don’t be surprised if it’s not exactly a high end phone.

Long story short, IonMonkey is a new JavaScript JIT, which optimizes JavaScript before it’s converted to the machine code.
