Boom! John Lilly Steps Down as Mozilla CEO
It’s been barely two years since John Lilly became a CEO of Mozilla Corporation, and as it appears, he won’t be staying in this position any longer.
Mitchell Baker, the former CEO of Mozilla Corp has published the following announcement:
“Sometime this year John will step down from his role as CEO at Mozilla to join the venture firm Greylock Partners, returning to his original plan of investing. John will remain on the Board of the Mozilla Corporation. And he will also remain at Mozilla during the transition. The timing of this announcement — just as we begin a formal search for a new CEO — is to make this process more open than is generally the case and is a reflection of the uniqueness of Mozilla as a public benefit organization dedicated to openness and participation in Internet life.”

April, 2010 – Internet Explorer Market Share Goes Below 60%
It’s time to find out, how ballot screen affected web browsers growth and/or decline. Lets begin.
After continuous Internet Explorer downtrend, Microsoft web browser has finally felt below 60% market share mark, from 60.65% to 59.95% (0.7 point decrease).

Opera Buys FastMail
Today, Opera Software has announced the acquisition of Aussie email provider FastMail.FM for an undisclosed amount of money.
According to company press release statement, this move will help Opera to expand its current messaging product portfolio and deliver cross-platform messaging to a wide range of devices, including computers, mobile phones, TVs and gaming consoles.
“The newest generation of Web users will discover the Web through a mobile device. Having world-class messaging capability alongside a rich and compelling Web experience is essential. By combining forces, Opera and FastMail.fm can offer messaging on any device. This will enhance the value Opera provides to consumers, while assisting our operator partners in reducing customer churn,” said Rolf Assev, Chief Strategy Officer at Opera Software.

Skyfire for iPhone is Coming, Possible Flash and Silverlight Support?
Jeff Glueck, the CEO of Skyfire congratulated Opera team and dropped a hint about the upcoming Skyfire for iPhone release:
