The Acid3 Race, Who Will Win It?
While Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 don’t pass Acid2 test and only their future versions will do that (Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 3), the Acid3 test is already released. This one gives even more headaches to web browsers developers as well as some “pressure”, it’s like a mini competition. So who will pass it first?
OmniWeb 5.7 Beta Released
The first OmniWeb 5.7 Beta version is now released. This build introduces various interface changes, for example: updated icons as well as fixed bugs and speed improvements. Flock 1.1 Released
The social web browser Flock 1.1 is now released. New version now has an integrated web mail client for Yahoo! and Gmail users (see screenshot below), friend activity and Picasa integration. Camino, web browser for Mac OS X only got an update: 1.5.5. The following release fixes some well known bugs, for example: crashes, as well as add new features and various improvements.

It’s that time of the month again. We are ready to let you know about “2008 January Browsers Market Share Results”. You may check previous month results here). So how’s your favorite web browser doing? Let’s see that now.
Yet another market share decrease for Internet Explorer, from 76.04% to 75.47% (0.47% decrease).
After the previous 0.8% increase, this time Firefox managed to increase its market a share a bit less, from 16.80% to 16.98% (0.18% increase). Continue Reading
Netscape Navigator – Alive Again?
Is it? Not really. However, some time ago AOL announced that they will stop Netscape Navigator support after February 1’st… Well, things changed a bit, they’ve decided to “extend” its support for one more month (March 1’st).
As it says in their blog post:
Mozilla, Flock and AOL are working together to provide tools to ease the migration of existing Netscape browser users to our recommended Flock and Firefox alternatives. Both Flock and Firefox are built on the same Mozilla Firefox codebase.
