By collecting anonymous data from thousands of different web sites, Chartbeat is able to tell you in real time, what percentage of users are surfing the web with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox.
While the concept looks promising, we sure miss a historical graph, which would give you an insight on how users browsing habits change throughout the day.

Anyone have info about comparing data gathering methodology against other “non-RT” stat counters?
And this site round percentages to whole percents :(
PS OSX have 10% of the internet…. Without disclaimer that you only count US that stat is not adequate for The internet.

Just to clarify, this was just a hack project our team built in about two hours because a couple of our devs were curious to see if browser usage fluctuates in real time – and we thought others might be too, so we opened it up. It uses the the Chartbeat API that includes aggregate data from thousands of sites of all sizes across over 30 countries. Doesn’t work with IE9! :-/
Does anything?!
IE9 is my favorite for now and I would hardly be using it if nothing worked. :-/ Chrome has an annoying spell checker bug that has been there forever, FF is sluggish and somewhat buggy, Opera is not very compatible with some pages, but with IE9 everything works (except for some experimental pages like this example) and it is fast too, so…
