Download Windows Phone 10 Preview With Edge

Download Windows Phone 10 Preview With EdgeIf you have not installed Windows 10 on your PC and still want to play with Microsoft’s new rendering engine (Edge) then here’s another option: grab a preview build of Windows Phone 10, which was just released.

However, in case you are wondering whether or not this build includes Spartan, it does not. Instead, just like in Windows 10, Internet Explorer is still a default web browser but with a new engine. On a positive note, IE will be replaced with Spartan in future builds.

Microsoft has also said that “The new rendering engine will be used for all web pages loaded in the browser on Windows 10 phones. Like on PCs, “x-ua-compatible” tags will no longer be supported to force older compatibility document modes. This ensures that sites on the mobile web will always get the latest, most interoperable engine.”

As far as installation goes, please note that only the following phones can get the build as of today: Lumia 630, Lumia 635, Lumia 636, Lumia 638, Lumia 730 and Lumia 830.

Try it now.
