February, 2013 Mobile Market Share: Android, Opera Mini, Internet Explorer – Up; Safari, Chrome – Down
It’s that time of the month again where we take a look at the latest market share trends for the mobile web browsers.
Still dominating the web, Safari experienced a significant drop, down from 61.02% to 55.41% (5.61 point decrease).
At the expense of Safari, Android web browser has managed to increase its market share by 1.36 point, up from 21.46% to 22.82%.
Similarly, Opera Mini too saw a major increase in its numbers, up from 9.84% to 12.72% (2.88 point increase).
Chrome on the other hand is back below the 2% mark, down from 2.02% to 1.96% (0.06 point decrease).
Lastly, Internet Explorer, which has increased its market share by 0.24 point, up from 1.34% to 1.58%.

Also safari is the only allowed browser ( chrome on iOS identifies itself as safari because of apples rules)
Opera Mobile is in “Other” because it does not have any meaningful amount of market share.
LOL, “fanboys believe”… Are there any fanboys here saying Opera Mobile has more market share?
And can you expand that “Other” to us so we can trust you?
Opera Mobile has less market share than IE, hence not reported.
Ok, now expand the “Other” from the stats to us please…
Good to see IE on Mobile, that means they are getting more Windows Phone, cool!!
