Firefox 3 vs. Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) vs. Safari 3.1
Some time ago Damien Virulhapan from GadgetZone.com.au sent me an email with the link to article called “Group Test: Firefox 3 vs IE 7 vs Safari 3.1“. Feel free to check it.
I don’t know why Opera wasn’t tested, haven’t got any reply since then.

While I’m a huge fan of Opera (both the browsers and the company :P), and it’s the most awesome browser in the world, it doesn’t give it the demographics of the browsers you mentioned. The majority is using one of those three, and articles cater to the majority as much as possible to attract readers :)
Ha! That article is very far from empirical… It finds some conclusions without really telling us how it does its experiments, then declares them irrelevant because of a particular feature of its choice, and gives marks out of five…??!!!
Yup, the article is far from good, and the lack of Opera is just “wot?!” Also, I bet my neck they are testing Fx3 live everybody else when it comes to page loading. Firefox purposedly delays the html rendering by 250ms for whatever purpose I don’t know. What I do know however, is that Firefox 3 RC1 beats Safari 3.1 in javascript (not by much), in html rendering (not by much either, since both are INCREDIBLY fast) and in dom transversal rendering (by a lot, but I don’t know if my testings are very safe). But well, I’m no professional in the matter.

It’s to give more of the page time to load. That way, if something comes along that changes the layout (a stylesheet gets loaded, or a long piece of text or wide image appears in a table cell, etc.), it doesn’t need to start over and redo everything.
Thanks for clearing that up Kelson. Still, I have that delay set to 50…
That’s not a benchmark, that’s a lame blog post. Even my grandmother knows more about browser performance than that guy.
Anyone review that omits Opera is worthless. It’s clearly the best browser around.
please install the firefox 3 internet explorer 7 (IE7) VS safar 3.1
