Google Chrome is Now Faster (Again)
With its latest Chrome release, Google claims that they have managed to increase JavaScript performance on heavy pages by another 30% which makes fast browser even faster.
Also, the following version now supports autofill, full screen mode (F11) and an useful feature to remove thumbnails from the new tab page. In addition, since the Chrome launch, they have fixed over 300 bugs which were causing crashes.

V8 is so untrustworthy it’s not even funny anymore… -_-
How is it not? I want to know for debate purposes.
Daniel Hendrycks, it is not trustworthy because it was created by Google to perform well in Chrome. It’s pure marketing.
there are many benchmarks, or js-tests around here, and all have similar results – safari/chrome VERY fast, firefox 3.5 fast, firefox 3 a little bit slower, and at the far end opera 9/10, ie 6/7/8.
all test sets share the same results – webkit is the fastest, new gecko is quite fast, faster than old one, and opera – both 9 and 10 are at the far end. have any tests – js speed tests – that show different results?
and please, do not bring ‘real world wide web performance’. opera WAS quite brisk when ff2 was a memory hog. try chrome or safari for a FAST browser, or firefox 3.5 for a VERY fast browser (with extensions installed ofc). opera perceptual speed is en par with IE, nothing more.
if you think, that ALL tests are biased (against opera i presume) than better seek some professional help, because nobody could give a damn, and noone is trying to belitle a browser that is already ‘the minorest’ one, and soon will be removed altogether from charts.
IE and Opera are not close to speed. Opera has an extremely good reputation for js speed. Right now though it is not very fast because Opera devs are working on an entirely new engine called Carakan. Also Opera is overall faster then Firefox. Proof at this URL. http://my.opera.com/DanielHendrycks/albums/showpic.dml?album=769782&picture=10380021
A benchmark test on an official Opera site. Right…..
No this was a screenshot the the Peacekeeper Benchmark. I just uploaded it via Myopera. Peacekeeper is a third party benchmark so results are not changed, these are actual results.

This one? :)
Yes. But that snapshot was taken when Peacekeeper was in Beta, I didn’t want someone saying it was unrealiable because the benchmark results are shown when Peacekeeper was in Beta.
In conclusion Opera is not as slow as “nobody” said.
