Google Chrome Market Share Drops To A Multi Month Lows
Here goes the hype.
If you thought that copying Google’s Chrome design is a winning strategy, then think again. According to the latest report from HitsLink, Chrome continues to lose its market share and just recently hit lows not seen in more than a year.
As it turns out, the biggest winner is Internet Explorer, gaining a total of 2 points since July, 2012, followed by Apple’s Safari (0.53 point increase) and others.
Let’s get another Chrome clone going.

Firefox 25 will be that Chrome clone you’re talking about. I’m getting myself ready to stop updating at Firefox 24…
Firefox new theme (Australis) Has been planned since Firefox 4 (2010)

And I can say that Firefox new theme looks better than chromes:

ANDDD if you dont like the minimalist look, Firefox allow you to change that by yourself:

“Firefox allow you to change that by yourself:”
It won’t allow. Several elements will have fixed positioning, meaning you can’t move or remove them. Tabs on bottom will be removed completely (it can be still restored ATM), add-on bar will be removed and sidebars are also likely to be gone in the future.
The more reason why i am disappointed. They had years of fancy telemetry data and had the luxury to observe the other browsers and this is what they come up with.
Don’t know about the other Mozilla departments, but judging from their mockups, the UI department is incompetent and shows no creativity at all.
I don’t understand who’s right, statcounter or netmarkershare.
I don’t think anyone is “right”. These are just stats… best to look at your own site’s traffic to determine what kind of user base you have.
StatCounter provide statistic only of his popularity (they not use geo-weights) but NetMarketShare provide global data corrected by real geo-weights.
See FAQ of his statistics.
Hum. These signs may indicate the standing of Internet Explorer and Chrome will likely be more difficult in the future, hopefully the next step will be to develop better.
For every Windows or Mac brought, IE and Safari gains… They are taking the number of PCs with the software installed not how many people use it.
