I have an account at Facebook and completely agree with @TheMetrix:disqus . They’re mostly thick as F with their Farmville and crappy invites etc.
Maybe not Chrome but switching to Google Plus is a good option if your friends & relations move onto it or are willing to switch.
it will be a good idea for a while, as you know, everything managed by humans, that becomes good and popular .. spoils at some point
im indifferent about facebook, i check it 1-2 times per day, add people ive got to know in RL, send message or two when needed and thats it, i like changes, so every UI revamp is welcome, because it makes it less boring (i wish i could change the facebook blue to dark grey without scripts)
google + will become shitty after a while, heed my words
Windows is the same – it could be even better than what Win7 and 8 are, but MS wont bother optimizing it even more .. and so on
now only unpopular things like Linux are still good, and if people jump on it, those hippies who are allways “we dont need money” will spoil and will ruin it too, its in the human nature, a person cannot escape from it

In my opinion Linux could become a viable Windows alternative only when they finally replace most of X.org with Wayland, fix the majority the quirks people still have with Pulse audio and hopefully provide better wireless support.
