If Web Browsers Were Guns
For people who are allergic to Internet cats, here is another take: if web browsers were guns.

Haha. Nice!
lol so true!
Pretty good comparison of browsers here although I think lchann will have a say on the IE gun – IE9 just isn’t as bad as everyone thinks but I do think the ads Microsoft are doing should have been for IE10.
Than I guess IE9 is a revolver without a cylinder.
IE9 did disappoint me so that would be a better description.
So So wrong.
Why is Safari portrayed the way it is?
This must be very old.
IE can be interpreted as going two different directions
Chrome. Is that suppose to be bloat or over powered?
Firefox. Fair enough with the add ons although it cannot be that slick.
Opera. Yeah yeah. It is sophisticated but according to whom? It has many feature built in. Isn’t this bloat?
YEP OPERA IS BLOATED THATS WHEY IT ETAS MY RAM
IT ETAS MY HD IT HAS THE BIG EST INSTALLER OF YAL
I’m assuming you’re being sarcastic here. :-p
Safari has the biggest installer of them all and Chrome takes up the most room (most of Safari is just offloaded onto ASL).
Of course I’m. xD
Safari is probably done as a sort of love-hate thing, plus it’s updated once a year with smaller updates every so often.
You’re right with IE.
Chrome is more overhyped than overpowered.
Firefox without extensions is fine but once you start installing them there’s a noticeable performance hit.
With Opera, it’s only bloat if it does nothing.
Opera should be a more multi-purpose weapon. It’s a browser, but it’s also got a fully fledged mail client, IRC chat client, RSS client, extension, widgets and a web server all under the hood.
I like the way it’s represented as a precise weapon in this pic! IDK :)
So Opera is a sniper rifle in this one, but in the cat one, IE is the sniper cat? o.o
Then, IE uses Opera?
LOLLOL, So what would Maxthon be eh?
Not sure about the Opera gun, but the IE gun is hilarious! LOL!
If IE were a gun, it’d be a 14th century canon. Very loud, very hard to use, very heavy, very slow, and you couldn’t do much with it. It was also very innefective and you had a 25% chance of it backfiring and killing you and your mates every time you used it.
but isn’t IE 9 have HA and stuff ?
must be mad xp users who can’t download IE 9 :P
The picture is quite old, there was no IE9 back when it was made.
Far as I can tell as a web programmer, Google Chrome is just Apple Webkit in a different wrapper. I guess this was made by a Google employee.
