Internet Explorer 8 Review
Today ComputerWorld.com has posted a complete review of the new IE8 features. For instance: tabs isolation (Chrome alike), address bar improvements, closer tabs re-opening, accelerators, web slices, new security, privacy features and much more as well as reviewer’s conclusion of browser itself.
Tab isolation is the way to go. Never before has any IE eaten up so much RAM! Now, instead of having one single process hogging your whole system, you can have 10+ different processes doing the job, 10+ times better!
IE8 – best version of Internet Explorer ever. It leads pages much faster then IE7. However, I still think Firefox 3 is not only better it’s much better than IE8. I also like Google Chrome but its lack of add-ons makes me think twice before set it as my main browser. Certainly when Google Chrome make add-ons available then I think Google Chrome will certain be one of the best browses around.
I tried it, I loved it..
It seems much more like a browser now. Despite it’s not like Opera or firefox yet, but they’re on the way!
At last!… Internet Explorer can be considered as a Web Browser!
At last!… they realized about the problems they had… or, some of them…
At last!… they can be part of the war…
At least… it’s something better… haha
Cya!
Terrible… Toolbars are extremely hard to adjust. Lot’s of wasted space on top of page. “Links” bar is now a thing of the past. It’s all way to “busy.” I went back to IE 7, thank goodness, and all my defaults were still there. This new version is a joke for the “video” age idiots. If you are looking for speed and simplicity, use firefox, or sacrafice a little speed and stick with IE 7.
What a pile of junk. IE8 didn’t install properly. All my desktop icon links to web pages now don’t work. I reinstalled desktop icons and problem persists. My internet/web page is very slow to open. I have to open the web first then hit a link in order for desktop icon links to work, still very slow and I have cable internet. Links in emails or documents hang up and freeze entire PC, have to manually shut down. Wish I had never installed it!!!!! Now I have to spend hours trouble shooting or pay someone to fix this mess, when all was fine before I downloaded IE8.
I have not used Internet Explorer since IE 6. I’ve used Opera and Firefox, but I still prefer SlimBrowser from http://www.flashpeak.com. After all, they were using tabbed browsers 5 years ago! Besides, the download is only 1.8 MB. Really cool! ;-)
Yes I lost all my desktop links. They just won’t associate. Ca’t open links in my email either. BUT I had google chrome on there and when I took it off, that’s when the problem showed up. I’m desparate now. Going to try to get back to inertnet 7.
