What? I haven’t understood, were you expecting 100/100??

  2. lutze says:

    What is the Lynx score?

  3. Mark says:

    netscape ownz

  4. Chas4 says:

Why is the url in the screenshot not the acid3 test?

  5. werwolf says:

Lynx does not support javascript, so the test does not run.

  6. werwolf says:

The screenshot is correct. The url changes automaticly, no idea why.

  7. jamie says:

would have been a hell of a shock if it had passed with flying colours.

  8. H says:

Looks okay to me. I don’t see any problem with it, do you?

  9. daddylo says:

    It’s ok. Unless I am wrong even the ff 4 beta 7 can’t get 100 percent, neither IE 9 beta’s I think.

  10. Chas4 says:

Netscape has been dead for 2 years last version was 9.0.0.6

Its code is used in Firefox and that does not even pass

  11. Ichann says:

So Firefox Failed in the end.

  12. werwolf says:

nearly all the code of Netscape has been rewritten, so in firefox is not much of it. 5% ?

    • Ichann says:

IE9 has new stuff coded and it is a great upgrade. Yet people still have the prejudice that it ‘sux’ and they ‘Will never use it again’ due to past experiences. Does the new code carry over or the name IE has built for itself?

      • werwolf says:

may be, ie9 will be much better, than ie8, but nobody needs it any more. IE were dead 10 years, and is dead what ever MS can do. A lot of people keeps to xp, so ie9 is anyway not accessible for them. = another bad decision of MS. And nobody believs MS-tests any more.

        • Ichann says:

I can say this. Whom ever holds unto XP is either in a complex or just afraid.

I do not give 2 shts about those people. Sure you are a business and it will cost you to upgrade, thats not whom I am targetting though.

I am targetting those people that have developed a lovr, relationship, lust for XP.

It was a great OS. Was. It is not good enough these days.

IE will continue to play a big role in the browser market. Be sure of that.

          • werwolf says:

My HW is not that powerfull to run win7 and I don’t feel any need to change the OS, which works very well since years. It is the most stable windows version.

      • nvm says:

We don’t know if IE9 will be a great upgrade yet. It isn’t finished.

I’m not surprised that people are rejecting IE9 already, considering Microsoft’s abysmal track record.
