Here is some great news from Google Chrome team. The latest Chrome beta release was just released and it’s 25% faster on V8 benchmark and 35% faster on SunSpider.

Of course, it also includes some of the new features, for example: form autofill, full page zoom, autoscroll and drag tabs (see video and benchmark results below).

  1. I tried, it downloaded. Nothing! Just dissapeared ….

  2. FataL says:

Dragging tab to the left or right edge of a window is priceless!
I would expect such windows management from OS though… Vista? 7? :-\

  3. Well, if you drag a window to the right or left side in Win 7, it resizes it to fit 50% of your screen. So you can use/compare 2 windows at the same time.

  4. TTT says:

The side-by-side thing just looks like two windows. That is, nothing “special” per-se (other than being a unique[?] feature) that could just as well be left up to the WM, as pointed out by Fatal.
Would perhaps be better if the controls were shared and you could focus a specific “window”?
