October, 2012 Desktop Market Share: Firefox Slides Below The 20% Mark
Hey, it’s that time of the month again as we kick off the week with the new data from the NetApplications.
Starting with the Internet Explorer, it looks like Microsoft’s market share is slowly edging higher, up from 53.63% to 54.13 (0.5 point increase).
As you might guessed fro, the title, Firefox’s market share has fell below the 20% mark, down from 20.08% to 19.99 (0.09 point decrease).
Following Firefox, Google Chrome too continues its downtrend, this time its market share fell from 18.86% to 18.55% (0.31 point decrease).
After a small bounce last time, Safari’s market share has decreased by 0.05 point, down from 5.26% to 5.21%.
With the upcoming launch of Opera 12.10, Norwegian browser saw a slight uptick in its market share, up from 1.62% to 1.63% (0.01 point increase).
Overall, the numbers look pretty steady, no sharp declines or spikes. We’ll see how Windows 8 impacts these numbers.

Finally IE is back rocking.!!! Hopefully they are all IE9 not IE 6 or IE 7. Encourage everyone to upgrade to last IE whether they use IE or other browser. It is always good to have your computer upto date.
I’m waiting for IE10.
IE should give 20% to Opera and Internet would be finally fine :)
