October, 2013 Desktop Market Share: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari – Up; Google Chrome, Opera – Down
If you thought that Internet Explorer will lose its crown anytime soon then think again as for quite some time now, it keeps doing the opposite. Up from 57.80% to 58.22% (0.42 point increase).
Firefox on the other hand just now starts to recover although it is still months away from reaching the 20% mark again, up from 18.60% to 18.70% (0.1 point increase).
Next is Google Chrome, which continues its downtrend, this time its market share has decreased by 0.54 point, from 15.96% to 15.42%.
Apple’s Safari keeps slowly growing, up from 5.77% to 5.84% (0.07 point increase).
Last in the list is Opera, which saw another decrease, this time by 0.05 point, from 1.47% to 1.42%.
