Opera 9.5 – First Public Build Within a Few Weeks
Yes, yes, it will be released very soon, calm down now.
So you want to know more about new features now, right? Enjoy.
CSS3 support, superior SVG support, brand new javascript engine with support for ECMAScript 4 ‘getters’ and ‘setters’ and that’s now everything. New Opera version will be able to display even more bad coded web pages correctly!
Opera 9.5 also got some interface improvements where you will be able to access popular features much faster.
Zoom? New version will also support a screen reader.
Mac users will be able to enjoy a nice and new look. No, they didn’t forgot Linux, that’s why they are adding a QT4 build + 64 bit packages.
Performance
Opera 9.5 will be much faster. That’s all I can say.
That’s not all, keep an eye, I will keep you updated.

They didn’t say they support Ecmascript 4, they just said they support getters and setters, which is one feature of Ecmascript 4, but by no means the whole spec.
Ops, my mistake. Fixed, thanks.
Um, I made a mistake there too, as did someone at Opera, apparently. Getters and setters currently are “proposals” to the spec, meaning they are not officially “in”, yet.
But since browsers have found them to be quite useful (so useful in fact that Safari copied them from Mozilla long ago and that Opera does it now), it’s almost certain that they will be added, since they’re available on the major platforms that are likely to implement Ecmascript 4 anytime soon.
opera is the fastest browser on all platforms.i can not wait few weeks to my lovely new release(kestrel).
