Opera and MegaFon Signs a Mobile Internet Deal
In yesterday’s press release, Opera Software and Russian mobile operator MegaFon, has announced a new partnership, under which MegaFon’s “Unlimited Internet with Opera Mini” package will be made available to all Russian territories (that’s more than 53 million mobile subscribers total).
Back in September 2009, MegaFon signed a similar deal that provided unlimited mobile web access to Moscow region only.
However, as press release says:
The dramatic user growth seen as the result of the “Unlimited Internet with Opera Mini” plan persuaded MegaFon to provide this package in all Russian regions in their coverage area.
Ural and Siberia were the next areas to gain access to fast and cost-effective mobile web via Opera Mini after Moscow. The remaining regions will gain access from June 2010.

Wow! Unlimited internett with Opera mini?!
Wish that was in my country. most operators here take 1,55 USD/1,25 EUR per MB here.
The country where Opera comes from, Norway.
It appears that they charge for days instead of MBs
0.18 per day would be a price I personally would totally be comfortable with. (this is… 1.26 a week or about 5,7 a month…. for UNLIMITED access, this is a very cheap offer :) )
Is it cheap for Russians, though?
MeganFox really? Man how the F did Opera score her.
Yes MeganFox 2.0
Great. Thanks
^ This wanst suppose to be here
Oh, I’m actually from Russia and I love Opera Desktop. And be sure the offer from Megafon is quite cheap for Russians too, the only thing is that you should surf only with Opera Mini (and it’s the best for mobiles, but quite unappropriate for touchscreen smartphones line iPhone or HTC for example – that’s why this offer is useless for me and my HTC Legend). I hope Opera will release some specified Opera Mini touchscreen edition, something like Opera Sense, i don’t know.
