  1. Opera 9.5 Beta Soon To Come » Web Browsers News and Reviews | October 17, 2007

Hmm, I think the people in the know won’t tell a thing until Oct 25 ;)

But I guess it’s either Opera Mini 4 (most probably) or Opera Mobile 9 (less probably). Opera 9.50 would be much too early, and I don’t know anything else Opera could show us. Except there is a new Opera browser product or a new product Opera is embedded in. But I don’t think so.

  2. Maybe free Opera Mobile?

    Who knows… :-)

Why you think Opera Mobile 9 release is “less probably”? Regarding Mini, I think they told some time ago that we will have Beta 3 or that it’s not a final beta.

  3. rumorjack says:

it got to be OM4, here’s why:
    – Kestrel won’t be ready by then
    – Opera Mobile 8.65 was just release, a release in october wouldn’t have much new stuff and therefore wouldn’t get much publicity
    – there’s no “big” device like Nintendo Wii coming up, so not Opera for Devices either
    – Rock bans is cool and hip which is exactly how Opera advertises OM
    – there have been two betas and 1.5 months is more than enough time for a third one and some final polishing

  4. Hm… Opera Mini 4 Beta 2 still didn’t had a Feeds Reader, if they would add that into their final version, that could be wrong as it wasn’t tested by lots of users yet… Oh well… We will see.

Er. Opera Mini 4b2 has a fully-working feed reader, I’m using it right now! The Opera Mobile 8.65 that was just released was just the Windows Mobile version, the other versions of Mobile 8.65 have been around for a long time. There’s been a lot of work in Mobile 9.0, including Acid2 handling and widgets support.

  6. RSS Feed Reader in Opera Mini 4 Beta 2. Are you sure? I can’t see that in the start page.
