Firefox 2.0.0.13, Sooner Than You Thought
Just a few days ago (with the Firefox 2.0.0.12 release), “Directory Traversal Vulnerability” was supposed to be fixed. However, as it’s noted here, by the guy who discovered new security vulnerability, it wasn’t fully fixed. Here’s a quote from his blog:
Because directory traversal through plugins is all nice and such, we don’t need it. We can trick Firefox itself in traversing directories back.
Firefox 2.0.0.12 Released
New Firefox build by Mozilla Firefox team is now released. Firefox 2.0.0.12 includes a total of 10 bug fixes (3 of them are marked as critical). The following release also fixes chrome directory traversal vulnerability. It’s highly recommended to download latest version as soon as possible.

Opera Mini, February Server Upgrade
Opera Mini team has released one more server upgrade for its popular mobile phone web browser. It’s good to see that Opera 9.5 rendering engine is being integrated (more or less) into other Opera’s products like Opera Mobile (announced yesterday) and now, Opera Mini. There is also one more great future, which was is now available, it’s “opera:config”. Here’s a complete list of changes:

WordPress 2.3.3 Released
Not really a web browsers thing, but if you are using WordPress 2.3.x and haven’t yet upgraded to WordPress 2.3.3, you should do that now.
WordPress 2.3.3 is an urgent security release. A flaw was found in our XML-RPC implementation such that a specially crafted request would allow any valid user to edit posts of any other user on that blog.

Opera 9.5 Mobile Soon to Be Released
Do you have a smartphone? There’s some news for you today. Opera Software today announced that they will be demonstrating Opera Mobile 9.5 at Mobile World Congress 2008 (February 11-14, Barcelona). There is also a video called “Opera Mobile 9.5 Guided Tour” which tells more about new Opera Mobile 9.5 features and demonstrates them.
