Torch Browser: WebKit With Torrent Support And Download Accelerator
A little bit of everything.
We are not sure how many hundreds or thousands of different web browsers there are that use the WebKit rendering engine, but here is something slightly different: Torch.
So what’s so cool about it? Well, it builds on the foundation of the Chromium web browser and includes a couple of new features, such as:
– Built in Torrent client
– Video downloader
– Easy sharing tool
– Download acceleration

As of now, it’s only available for the Windows machines and can be downloaded from the following page.

Just missing the E-Mail Client, they it maybe could replace Opera for me, although that’s a hard thing to do^^
I played with it a little bit. Not a bad browser. I was interested in the video download and tested it out on a short youtube video. I don’t know if it is the downloader or the player, but the playback was extremely choppy.
Ilve tested similar browsers including opera with its torrent support and I must say this looks good. It will be a nice thing for People whom might not know how to use a torrent program. I do not know that it will replace utorrent just yet, but it is a good progress
My friend recommended it and I must say – I love it! So simple and fast, the torrent client has also been very reliable so far. Video grabber worked perfectly though I’d like to see more downloading options in the future… Bottom line: Highly recommended. I use it now instead of chrome (my previous default browser).
I have no idea how to use a torrent, if this makes it easy for me I’ll start using it…..if/when it’s available for Linux
The memory/cpu usage is the same as Chrome?
